We strive to offer a loving and consistent environment for our students, who range in age from six weeks to six years, while placing an emphasis on academic excellence.

We are passionate about our school and treat everyone as an extension of our own families. Our staff creates a warm and welcoming environment and maintain an open-door policy. We plan monthly events for all families to participate in and we work hard to ensure our families get to know each other and develop strong relationships.

I love the brightwheel app. The respose I get from the teachers is almost immediate. I also recieve notifications and reminders for my children. The school has worked with our schedules and it has been easy to transition my children from 1/2 days to full days and to all week.

My children didn't attend childcare until they were 19 months old. The staff and teachers were wonderful at helping my children overcome separation anxiety. The brightwheel application on my phone helped to aliievate my anxiety by allowing my to check on their progress throughout the day and communicate with the school. My children get excited to go to school each day and see their teacher.

I'm originally from Waco, Texas (and a southern girl at heart) but I've lived here for a little over 10 years now. I have been with La Petite for six years and I have immensely enjoyed working with our young ones and seeing their families! I started as a floating assistant and slowly worked my way through every room and age group. I like watching the children explore and learn as they grow! I know they'll go on to do amazing things! In my spare time I enjoy being with friends and family.

Each day at La Petite Academy is filled with opportunities for your child to learn, play, explore, and grow. Children explore learning centers, participate in small- and large-group activities, spend time outdoors, and enjoy plenty of opportunities for choice and play. Meals, snacks, and rest are also built into the day, creating a familiar routine that helps children feel comfortable while keeping each day fun and engaging. Daily activities are designed with your child's age and developmental stage in mind.

Our teachers regularly observe your child's development and use those insights to plan learning experiences that support their individual needs and growth. Each child has an individual portfolio that grows with them as they move from one age group to the next, capturing their learning, milestones, and accomplishments along the way. Teachers use developmental checklists, work samples, photos, and observations to understand how your child is progressing and identify opportunities to build new skills. Families stay connected every step of the way through SproutAbout updates, family-teacher conferences, and daily conversations with their child's teachers.

Moving to a new classroom is an exciting milestone. Children gradually visit their new classroom, meet their teachers, and become familiar with new routines before the transition. Teachers work together to support continuity, while families receive regular updates throughout the process.
