La Petite Academy de Oregon

Welcome to La Petite Academy early learning center in Oregon, WI. This location has been serving the Oregon community since 1999. My name is Penny, the academy director. I have more then 30 years of experience working in the early education field. I started my career with La Petite Academy in 1993 as an assistant teacher in the Twos Room in Waukesha, WI. I moved on in my career as a teacher for Head Start, a private child care center and many years at a non profit child care center. In 2019 I moved into a director roll which lead me to returning to La Petite Academy in 2022 as Center Director!

Our school includes care for Infants starting at six weeks old, Toddlers, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, PreK, Private Jr. K and School Age before and after school care. We offer off school day care for school agers and care during snow days when the public school is closed.

We have an outstanding summer camp called Wonder Camp that runs June through August. Themes are followed school wide with each day filled with curiosity, imagination and discovery. We provide weekly, sometimes twice a week, onsite field trips for the whole school or off site field trips for school age camp. We have a large playground area which makes outdoor play fun year round but especially in the summer when we have weekly water play activities. In Spring we plant a garden that we watch grow, water and harvest into the fall.

We’re committed to keeping parents connected throughout the day with access to live streaming video of your child’s classroom, plus real-time updates with diaper changes/bathroom breaks, meals and nap times with our exclusive mobile app for families called Sprout About.

Our staff are First Aid and CPR trained, mandated reporter trained, abusive head trauma prevention trained. We also have monthly staff meetings and twice a year teacher in services, which equals 15+ continuing education hours.
