Welcome to La Petite Academy of Leesburg, VA! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our educational daycare and all of the great programs we have to offer!
At our school, we serve children of all ages through our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and School-Age programs. Our daycare programs are designed to provide the perfect foundation for learning and development for your child. Here, your child will be engaged in educational activities that take place in a secure, caring and enriching environment. We are especially proud of our large outdoor spaces and multipurpose room, which allow for physical development regardless of the weather.

School-Age Families - We provide after school care with transportation from Balls Bluff, Catoctin, Cool Springs, Evergreen Mill, Fredrick Douglas, Selden's Landing, and Tolbert Elementary School.

Susannah Mengel, directora
Educación: Masters in Applied Developmental Psychology

Mrs. Susannah has been working in Early Childhood Education in Loudoun County for over ten years, both in the classroom and as an administrator. Mrs. Susannah grew up in the area and currently lives in Ashburn with her husband and two children, who attend one of Learning Care Group's sister schools. As a mom, she knows the importance of finding a clean, safe, and engaging school for children to learn, play, and grow! She looks forward to being a part of your child's childcare experience!

I have been working in Early Childhood Education for over 30 years. My experience includes owning and operating a home daycare through Prince William County for seven years, as well as working with children with special needs. I am a parent to three children and three stepchildren, and I have always enjoyed teaching. I joined La Petite Academy of Leesburg in April 2023 as a Lead Teacher in the Toddlers and Twos classrooms and became Assistant Director in the summer of 2025.
