La Petite Academy de Blacklick

Bienvenido a La Petite Academy en Blacklick, OH. My name is Julie and I have been the Director here for the past 28 years.

We are a 3 star rated center in Ohio's Step Up to Quality Program. Many of our teachers have been here over 10 years and are dedicated to helping our students develop a lifelong love of learning. We conduct in-service training for staff monthly to ensure we are always up to date on child development innovations.

Our center offers care for children from 6 weeks through elementary school age. In our Infant, Toddler, and Twos rooms the curriculum is assessment-based with a focus on language development & communication. Our Early Preschool, Preschool, and Pre-K programs also offer an assessment-based curriculum that encompass a variety of developmental areas, with the Pre-K class focusing on preparing children for Kindergarten. For school age children, we provide before & after care during the school year and have a full time program for summer. This summer we introduced The Prep Lab as part of the school age curriculum. The Prep Lab is age appropriate supplemental Language and Math activities in workbook form to help our students continue to move in a positive direction academically over the summer.

While things are currently different than anything we've ever experienced, one thing we know is children need consistency. We are here every day, following the same routines which is a comfort to young children. We are following the recommendations of the CDC to ensure that we are operating in the safest possible way (checking temperatures, enhanced cleaning protocols, etc.) while still ensuring the children receive the care and education we have always provided.
