Welcome to La Petite Academy in Springfield, MO! My name is Melissa Freres and I serve as the Center Director. I have over twenty years experience working in the early childhood field, fifteen of those being in the classroom. I graduated from Missouri State University with a Masters degree in Child Development and Family Studies. I love working with children and hold the relationships with my families very dear to my heart.

Let me share some things about our school. Developed by our team of education experts, our curriculum is individualized, and STEM based so each child can be prepared for kindergarten. Teachers in each of our Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K classrooms have hundreds of activities from which to choose, each tied to a specific objective.

Our lead teachers have more than 100 years of combined experience and all teachers receive monthly training and are CPR and First Aid certified. We strive to create a welcoming environment and have an open-door policy so parents can come in and talk with us at any time. At our school, we value the relationships we have with our families and work hard to involve them every day.
