¡Bienvenido a La Petite Academy en Briar Forest! You can find us on the corner of Briar Forest and Kirkwood. We provide service to the Houston Independent School District, Alief Independent School District, and Spring Independent School District.

Our goal is to provide a safe nurturing environment where children can explore and discover the world around them!

We are truly thankful for our fantastic teachers and staff members who are genuinely passionate about early learners and early education. Overall, we love our school. Any concerns we raise are immediately addressed and we felt heard and respected. The staff all appear to genuinely love our children and they keep them safe and cared for.

So consistent with being warm, caring, efficient in the mornings at drop off and at the end of the day at pick up. Really a wonderful nurturing environment for my grand child . I am forever grateful every day not to have to worry at ALL about him :) I would highly recommend La Petite to any Mom , Dad, or Grand Parent for quality care!

We're very pleased with the feeling at the school with the new director. We get more photos from the class to see what our child is doing during the day to learn and grow. The teachers are very loving and our son feels very comfortable there.

My daughter has been here for five years. She loves "going to school" and playing with her friends. The teachers have been great the whole time.

Love the school. Our oldest just moved on to Jr. High. He'd been at La Petite since he was an infant. Our youngest just entered 3rd grade. She also has attended La Petite since she was an infant. The care and capability of the staff and director kept us from ever considering moving.

We absolutely love our daughter's teachers! Leaving my daughter to return to work was probably the hardest thing I've ever done, but the genuine affection & care they show my daughter assuages my fears & worries. The service they provide is truly priceless.

Ms. Ashley is a seasoned educator with 10 years of experience. "I love helping to give children a solid foundation so they can become lifelong learners." Throughout her career, she has taught students of all ages, from toddlers to 5th grade. Ms. Ashley has studied Civil Engineering and in school to receive a bachelors in Respiratory Therapy. "I love to watch the children learn. It inspires me to do my best to create the best environment for their experience. No child left behind!"

Each day at La Petite Academy is filled with opportunities for your child to learn, play, explore, and grow. Children explore learning centers, participate in small- and large-group activities, spend time outdoors, and enjoy plenty of opportunities for choice and play. Meals, snacks, and rest are also built into the day, creating a familiar routine that helps children feel comfortable while keeping each day fun and engaging. Daily activities are designed with your child's age and developmental stage in mind.

Our teachers regularly observe your child's development and use those insights to plan learning experiences that support their individual needs and growth. Each child has an individual portfolio that grows with them as they move from one age group to the next, capturing their learning, milestones, and accomplishments along the way. Teachers use developmental checklists, work samples, photos, and observations to understand how your child is progressing and identify opportunities to build new skills. Families stay connected every step of the way through SproutAbout updates, family-teacher conferences, and daily conversations with their child's teachers.

Moving to a new classroom is an exciting milestone. Children gradually visit their new classroom, meet their teachers, and become familiar with new routines before the transition. Teachers work together to support continuity, while families receive regular updates throughout the process.
